Before you visit

Where is Supernova Studio?
620 Del Ganado, San Rafael, CA 94903, in Terra Linda. That's the address to use for drop-off, delivery and every ride home covered in glitter.
When are you open?
We're opening soon! Class dates and times will regularly update in the booking panels on each program page, and our opening announcement will go out first to the email + text list — you can join at the top of the home page.
Do I need any art experience?
None at all. Our process art is about the doing, not the product, and the guided technique classes start from the very beginning. If you've never picked up a brush, you're exactly who we built this for.
What should I wear or bring?
Clothes you don't mind getting paint, clay and glue on. Materials for listed projects are provided; if a class ever asks you to bring something, the listing will say so.
What ages do you teach?
Toddlers squishing sensory play, kids and teens in process art and skill-building classes, and adults and eternal beings in evening sessions. There's no upper limit.

Classes + booking

How do I sign up for a class?
Open the program page and pick a date in its booking panel — Kids + Family, Adults, Parties + Events or Teach Anything!™ Prefer to speak to a real-live human? Email hi@supernovamarin.com or call (415) 484-8988.
Do you have drop-in options?
Yes. Drop-in workshops and open studio memberships are listed on the Kids + Family and Adult pages, and the Charm + Patch Portal is available any time our doors are open.
What is ProtoStars™?
Our creative incubator for young entrepreneurs: kids build a real product or service, learn the business side of making things, sell at markets, and give a hand back through philanthropy.
Does my child need a waiver?
Every participant needs a waiver on file. Adults sign for themselves; a parent or legal guardian signs for anyone under 18. You can sign it online on our Waiver page — typing your full name is your signature.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Tell us as soon as you can at hi@supernovamarin.com or (415) 484-8988 and we'll sort it out with you directly.

Parties + events

What kind of parties do you host?
Birthdays, milestones, private workshops, karaoke nights, and corporate team-building — for kids and adults alike, with an optional hands-on project every guest takes home.
What add-ons can we bolt on?
Custom decor, catering, photobooths, face painting, hair tinsel, our charm and patch portal, and full event setup and support. Skip the stress — we handle it from decor to dessert.
How do I get a quote?
Send us your date, age group and headcount through the contact form or the booking panel on the Parties + Events page, and we'll build a plan around it.

Charm + Patch Portal

What is the Charm + Patch Portal?
Pick a chain, hat ,or tote — or bring a blank of your own — and build a one-of-a-kind design from our collection of gold-alloy charms and vibrant patches.
What does it cost?
Charm Bar Bundle (base chain + 3 charms) $35 · Chain Base $18–$35 · Individual Charms $4–$10 · Patch Bar Bundle (base blank + 3 patches) $25 · Hat or Bag $10 · Individual Patches $3–$5 · BYO blank (1 patch + labor) $20. The full list is on the Charm + Patch Portal page.
Do I need to book the Charm + Patch Portal?
No — it's open any time our doors are. Walk in, pick your base, and start building.

Teach Anything!™

Can I teach a class?
Yes — that's the whole point. You stay in control of your craft: you set your own ticket prices and materials fees, and you pocket the lion's share. We keep a small sliver to keep the lights on and the room warm. BYOB.
How do I pitch an idea?
Fill out the short pitch form — pitch a class here. No teaching experience required, just enthusiasm for the thing you love.
